Renaissance Creations

A note from the workshop

One craftsman.
No shortcuts.

"Cabinets that fit. Doors that align. Trim that returns where it should. There are no shortcuts in this work, and we don't take any."

Renaissance Creations is a small cabinet shop in Garfield, New Jersey, run by Arek. Trained in the patient, old-world way of working wood — measure, mark, fit, repeat — Arek has spent more than a decade quietly building a reputation in the tri-state for cabinetry that fits the room, not the catalog.

The work crosses every style. Classical millwork with hand-carved detail. Modern slab-front cabinetry. Bright white shaker family kitchens. Floor-to-ceiling library walls. Even a built-in for a saltwater aquarium. Whatever the brief, the standard never moves: the cabinets fit the wall, the doors align, the trim returns where it should.

A meaningful share of our work is IKEA Sektion installation — and we are, by the testimony of more than one customer, the installer the staff at IKEA Paramus quietly hopes you'll choose. We treat the IKEA system the way custom millwork should be treated: cut to your tile, scribed to your wall, finished with the same patience as a piece three times the price.

We grow at the speed of word-of-mouth. Most projects come from neighbors, family, and clients we've worked with before. It's the slowest possible way to build a business — and the only way that lets us keep the standard where it is.

The method

How a Renaissance project comes together.

i.

Conversation

A call, a few photos, and a walk through the room — in person or by video. We listen for how you live in the space, then sketch what's possible.

ii.

Drawing & estimate

A clear quote with options, a layout, and a timeline. Online estimates welcome. No surprises mid-project — only the small, good kind that come from doing something carefully.

iii.

Build & install

Fabrication in the workshop. Installation on site, by Arek. Cabinets are scribed to the wall, cut to the tile, and finished by hand. The job is done when it would pass for our own home.
